Parking & Road Closures - ROADS CLOSE AT 8.45AM RACE DAY!
In order to start the race at 9.30am, the roads involved in the race will close at 8.45am sharp. You will still be able to access the Marin Headlands through the tunnel but access to Bunker Road through to Rodeo Beach will be closed from 8.45am to approximately 12 midday to all traffic (except in an emergency).
Parking lots are located throughout the headlands and there is up to a 20 minute walk to the start at Rodeo Beach from the furthest parking lot. Race day check-in and registration is from 7:30am. We encourage you to arrive early to ensure a timely check-in / race day registration, as there will be a variety of parking areas around the race route for which you will need to allocate time to walk to the check-in and starting area.
Please remember vehicles will not be able to leave the race area until the 4-mile race finishes and the road is cleared for traffic by the National Park Service (we are estimating this will be at approximately 12pm).

There are two approaches to the Center:
Tunnel Approach
From North of the Golden Gate Bridge: take the last Sausalito exit off Highway 101, just before the Golden Gate Bridge. At the exit stop sign, turn right and follow the road under Highway 101 to a second stop sign. Go straight and look immediately for a left turn lane and a sign for "Marin Headlands." Go left and through the tunnel. You will now be on Bunker Road. Follow directions below.
From South of the Golden Gate Bridge: Just after you cross the Golden Gate Bridge, take the second exit off Highway 101 at Alexander Avenue (after the Vista Point). Stay to your right - do not turn left at the exit off ramp and do not go underneath the freeway. Proceed 500 feet until you see a left turn lane and a sign for "Marin Headlands" (do not go down the hill into Sausalito). Turn left and go through the tunnel. You will now be on Bunker Road. Follow directions below.
- Follow Bunker Road for approximately 3 miles.
- Ignore various forks to the left; always bear to the right and stay on Bunker Road.
- Rodeo Lagoon is your next landmark. You will start to see parking attendants who will direct you to the nearest available car park for the event.

Scenic Approach

From south of Golden Gate Bridge: Just after you cross the Golden Gate Bridge, take the second exit off Highway 101 at Alexander Avenue (after the Vista Point). Stay to your left and follow the signs for Highway 101 South (this will bring you under the freeway to the other side). Follow directions below.
- Just before the entrance to the Golden Gate Bridge, look for Conzelman Road on your right with signs for Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) and the Marin Headlands. Turn Right on to Conzelman Road (it will be the only road going uphill within sight of the freeway).
- Follow this road until it forks at McCullough Road. Turn right at the fork on to McCullough Road, heading downhill.
- At the bottom of the hill, turn left on to Bunker Road. Follow Bunker Road for approximately 3 miles. Follow remaining directions as per parking attendant’s instructions
